SUMMARY
This Forklift Operator, 1st Shift, operates industrial trucks to load and unload product and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into trucks or storage areas in the La Vergne, TN distribution center.
Regular Work Schedule: 6:00am to 2:30pm CST

This Person will be Responsible for…
Follow all health and safety procedure and regulations as dictated by the organization and the state
Operate forklift with care and with awareness to people and environment around machine
Ensure forklift is properly stored, fueled, cleaned, and ready to operate
Perform light maintenance on machine as needed
Follow and update inventory activity, lists, records, and log all completed tasks
Move inventory and product across the facility
Stack and organize large bulk items
Remove inventory from trucks or shipping and delivery to proper location, as needed
Carry inventory for shipping to proper truck
Move inventory from facility to workstations, pick-up locations, or other locations
Make note and request any damaged parts or replacements needed
Submit inventory records at close of day
Follow ISO/TL9000 requirements as it pertains to position
Qualifications

High school diploma, or GED
Valid driver’s license
Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program (preferred stand-up/stock picker)
Demonstrate competence in warehouse and inventory management; good planning and execution skills
Good collaboration skills with both internal and external customers
Knowledge on OSHA guidelines and practices
Must be able to read and write in English; bilingual a plus
Able to communicate well with others
Able to count and recognize product
Able to work in a team environment
Able to follow instructions and be a quick learner
Travel
