Minimum Skills This position requires the ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods; ability to perform repetitive operations; ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • No Experience Required
Preferred Skills Experience with manual MIG welding obtained through OJT or coursework. Experience with operating robotic welding systems (desired, not required).Experience with blueprint reading (desired, not required). Experience with Caterpillar Production System processes and tools. Experience working in a Manufacturing or Welding Environment.
Job Description Immediate openings on Day, Night and Evening shifts (majority on Night and Evening) for entry level welders with a starting pay of $14.79 an hour (pay range starts at $15.18 then increases to $22.25 for Welder 3) between April – June. Job Duties may include: Operates robotic and manual MIG weld machines. Must be able to inspect own work including quality checks utilizing weld and attribute gages and other measuring tools. Ability to perform in station repair on defective welds utilizing carbon air arc process, grinders, etc. Ability to clear common robotic welding system faults Mechanical job duties may include: Use of lifting devices to move heavy components of weights of more than 35 lbs to position heavy fabricated metal components in weld fixtures. General knowledge of manufacturing, methods, and processes Rotation to various positions within the Job Function area to perform related activities. Ability to perform routine maintenance (wire change, tip/nozzle change) Rotation to various positions within the Job Function area to perform related activities. Must be able to work in a highly structured environment, strictly adhering to provided standard work instructions Follows documented procedures standard work, routings, and blueprints to perform safe and defect free operations to create and machine components. Follows and utilizes CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Elimination, and Standard Work. Keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition. Worker is responsible for process and final inspections Must be able to function as part of a team, willing to be multi-trained and maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area Contributing team member Must have effective communications skills
Salary $15.18 to $22.25 Per Hour Pay range starts at $15.18 then increases to $22.25 for Welder 3.

Perform numerous TPM duties as required. Start up and shut down processing equipment. Pre-employment assessment testing will be given by employer. Job requires working 12 hour rotating shifts (3-2-2) as follows – 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off and will rotate from days to nights every 2 weeks. Must be able to work over 40 hours in a week. **Any applicant that has not taken a Georgia Work Ready assessment, will be scheduled to take one and obtain a Silver level or above to move forward to an interview.** Pre-employment drug screening and background check required. This position is responsible for removing product from the presses, cleaning, inspecting  and assembling the product according to the product guidelines and customer requirements.

Shift Requirements

7am – 7pm

Job Summary
Key Duties And Responsibilities
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner using all required personal protective equipment and following safety protocol and guidelines accordingly
  • Clean, and trim parts to ORBIS quality standards using small hand tools such as a chisel, scraper and hole punch
  • Record scrap and place in identified location
  • Assemble components into finished product  according to Product Guidelines and customer requirements using a hammer, hole punch and drill as needed
  • Perform any required customer added processes such as labels or IDs applied to the finished product
  • Stack parts according to the Product Guidelines
  • Check the Product Guidelines, Options Sheet and any special work instructions for the correct way to clean, assemble and package a quality product to the customer’s specifications
  • Check the quality of the finished product to ensure the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction
  • Refer to the 1st piece sample part for a visual representation of the correct finished product for the order
  • Follow the “Form, Fit and Function” process with each product assembled and or produced
  • Sustain the 5S environment through diligent housekeeping and practicing the concept of “a place for everything and everything in it’s place”
  • Be able to identify primary and secondary components of an assembled bulk container
  • Attend required plant and shift meetings as scheduled
  • Observe the function of the presses and inform the Shift Supervisor or Process Technician of any malfunctions or deviations of acceptable quality standards, cosmetic or functional, in the product produced
  • Follow the training/competency outline to become an Operator A

Duties: A Maintenance Mechanic must be self-motivated and reliable. Other duties may include but are not limited to: A. Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment. B. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. C. Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities. D. Perform mechanic skills including (but not limited to): mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. E. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. F. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. G. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. H. Perform a variety of plumbing, maintenance and carpentry functions. I. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. J. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. K. Comply with company’s safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Qualifications: This job requires a high school diploma/GED.
4+ years of manufacturing experience preferred; strong pneumatic, mechanical, electrical and industrial skills; some experience with PLC’s and VFD’s
An Electrical Journeyman’s License preferred, but not required.
